We have been breeding our own replacement rams for our flock of commercial ewes since 2014. After seeing their progeny from our first lambing grow and produce excellent stock, we decided to breed high quality White Dorper rams to sell. We now produce rams for both stud and commercial enterprises.

We focus on selecting traits in our rams that will deliver fertile, high meat producing animals. The Dorper ewes easily breed about every eight months giving us a large selection of rams available for sale year-round.

We only sell rams that we would use in our own flock, so you can be sure you are getting the finest quality when you purchase from us. We finish our own lambs, so we know where this line of breeding is going. We believe the adaptability of our hardy rams yield stronger offspring and better-quality meat.

Bensons White Dorpers is one part of a large family business which sells both fat cattle and sheep. Currently we are running 2000 breeder ewes and turning off 3000 fat lambs annually. We also run around 1000 cows and grow out their progeny to sell direct to the abattoir. When the season is right we also buy in weaner steers to finish.

Bensons White Dorpers launched in 2014 and our dedication for 3 years has resulted in breeding a high-quality ram that is proven to be functional, adaptable in the field, and yields high meat with little fat.
